Is J.K. Rowling Working On More Harry Potter

With the final screen installment of the Harry Potter saga set to hit theaters next month, fans of the beloved boy wizard have braced themselves for what seems like the end – or is it?

Author J.K. Rowling launched a website, Pottermore.com, and although it seems promising for Potter fans, the purpose of the project is as mysterious as Voldemort's fate.

"The owls are gathering," reads a statement on a YouTube page linked from the site. "Find out why soon."

A Twitter account for the site also blasts the same message, but a rep for Rowling, 45, was mum about what exactly the author is conjuring.

Rowling's spokesperson told the BBC that the project was not "directly related" to the final film, which arrives in theaters July 15, or a new book. "We are not saying anything more at the moment."

Potter enthusiasts should know by Thursday what the project entails, according to a countdown in the video. For now, all that's available on the site, which was revealed to fans through an online scavenger hunt, is a "coming soon" banner bookmarked by owl graphics.

The trademark for Pottermore was filed in July 2009 – two years after the final book was released – so it seems like Rowling had the idea on the back burner. This begs the question: Are Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in on it?
