Library of Chathams help book 'recycling' is used this summer

We will be accepting books on Saturday, June 18, and Saturday July 16. Additionally, we will accept books on Saturday, Sept. 24, the same day as the Green Fair. Books and media can be dropped off in the back hall of the library during the hours of 9:30 to 12 noon.
We will collect adult and children’s hardcover and paperback books, DVDs and CDs in good condition. Please no magazines, textbooks, condensed books, video tapes, encyclopedias or mildewed or torn books. We cannot sell these and will have to throw them away.
These are the only days in 2011 that we will be accepting items for the book sale. Please do not drop off books at any other time as Friends of the Library are only available to process the books on the three days listed above. Books will still be collected daily in January and February of next year prior to the 2012 annual book sale in March.
The Friends thank all who have contributed books and other media for our past book sales and we are pleased to offer these collection dates. All proceeds from the book sale are used to buy new books and materials for the Library.
